Stylized entertainment with some great choreography. There are some big misses. The diner scene for example, which seems to be one of crowd’s favorites, left me cold. It’s a manifestation of “no means yes” misogynistic bullshit. The relationship feels as if it was simply ordained by the gods and in a flash, you are supposed to root for the anti-hero and his heroine.
Given all that, the strongest parts are where you see the protagonist at work. A strong member of the Competency Porn club, you get a front-row seat to see the master craft his masterpiece. Great use of soundtrack as well.
